I got the boys to do me an extra large butterfly. I painted it white and once dry sprayed it with marshmallow glimmer mist. Once that was dry I painted it with Rock Candy Crackle paint and let it dry. I needed to add some blue, so I used my favorite stamp, the one with french script, and a dark blue ink pad and stamped it all over the butterfly. I used the same ink on one of the Imaginarium Designs frames. I added flowers and crystals and layered it all on top of the butterfly. I used two brads in the body of the butterfly to attach it to my page. The frame is put on with foam tape so it sits over the top of the butterfly. I really love blues and this palette was perfect for a photo I had of Kate.
Tomoko is on the Colour Room Design team and here is her take on the palette. She has used Imaginarium Designs Corners which she has painted white.
Don't you just love her layout, it is so fresh and pretty. She puts so much detail into her layouts that you need to look at them long and hard to find them all. The photo of her daughter is just perfect for the layout. She has more images on her blog. She is such a talented designer and we are so pleased to have her on our team as well.Nat has also done the palette, and I love her take on it.
She used a Basic Grey doily paper to make a mask and used glimmermist over it. She also used stamps and embossing powder on the background page. On the chipboard flourish she used textured paste, paint and mists. Nat has more images on her blog so check it out.
Even though we all used the same palette, we each have done a layout in a different style. Make sure you visit the Colour Room and see what everyone else has done with the palette.
The Ladies at Graphic 45 have been posting layouts with our chipboard on them. I will post someof them here on Monday.
thanks for looking
Jane
