CHA Project for Graphic 45 the Winter Show

Well it't nearly CHA again and this time its the summer show. I was lucky enough to attend the winter show in January held in LA. As I was traveling there and on the Graphic 45 design team, I decided to make a stage using their Le Cirque range. John and I put our heads together and came up with a stage which all just locks together. Easy to put together and easy to take apart. The whole project is about 14 inches wide and 16 inches high and 7 inches deep.

Some of the 3d layering on the front of the stage.
It has two backdrops behind the front of the stage. The back one is covered with red paper with has circus words all over it on the top and has black stripes at the bottom. There is a gap between the back one and the blue one. In this photo you can see the back of the stage, the backdrop and the front of the stage.

The three parts of the stage can be seen here. I cut lots of the animals and circus people and attached them to sticks. The idea is for a child to to stand at the back of the stage and poke the animals and people between the backdrops. They can make them walk or dance or perform on the stage and create their own circus show.

It reminds me of the old Victorian theaters which children had years ago. Quite often they were on Shakespeare's plays like Romeo and Juliet.
I have just sent of my projects for the Summer show and will share some of my work with you after Graphic 45 had placed them on their blog.

thanks for Looking

Jane
