Sandrine with you today! I am still so so happy to design for Imaginarium Chipboard!!! I have a couple of projects to share with you today and it includes a little tutorial :), I love tutorials but a little patience it is at the bottom of this post, hehehe...
So I will start with my first project which is a 12X12 layout, of my 2 children having such a great time in North Queensland.
"Happy Days"
For this layout I chose a variety of chipboard and a very quick whitewashed effect using titanium white panpastel + fixative.
Love love Lou's Heart design, I used them as a little frame for my stamped images, so efficient!
Used a flourish cut in half....
And this gorgeous title...
And this gorgeous "Flourish"

Now to my next project and tutorial. I absolutely love the range of Imaginarium Borders, so unique and versatile...I have a trip overseas coming up and I am starting to make little gift for all my French families I haven't seen for the last 2 years, I want to spoil them! I do need little gifts that will travel well so I came up with an idea for a photo holder! And it is so easy and quick to put together you will be amazed!
I used very different different shapes around this little home decor object, I made a banner using Edward Relief border that I cut into pieces, I simply painted white and added "" Distress ink over it.
I also used 2 of my favourite flourishes, for the treatment I painted it with white Gesso and then heat dried it to make it bubble (=fun) and then lightly coated it with ""Distress Ink". Also used the middle section of Lou's Heart, I first painted it white, coloured it with Distressing Ink Tool, then pressed the chipboard directly on ink pad, threw some clear embossing powder over it and quickly heat embossed it, love the shiny effect!
My "title" made of alphabet letters, first coat of "Rock Candy" distress stickles, then white gesso, then distress ink, I glued them standing up on the front with dimensional magic. I then added a home made arrow (skewer+washi tape+paper chevrons) on top.

And as promised earlier a little tutorial on how to make the photo holder in the previous project:
"Photo Holder Tutorial"
Material needed:
- 1 x Four Circles border IDB0002
- 1 x Four Circles border IDB0003
- 1 x Four Circles border IDB0003
- scissors
- dimensional magic
Step 1: Take border, cut in half, no need to measure just count the quatrefoil, cut so you have 4 quatrefoil on each piece.
Step 2: Take one piece and cut as per below picture:
Cut left-hand border to match right-hand side:
You now need to empty the middle section (at least 4mm) I used scissors, leave both extremeties alone:
Cover with Titanium white PanPastel or any other medium to coordinate with the project.
Glue a piece of paper to match project, I used 2 way glue on Chipboard (let dry) then added paper, I did not get glue leaking everywhere on paper!
Step 3: Take the other border
Cut in half so you have 4 quatrefoils on each side, put one half aside.
Cut remaining half lengthways this time, like so:
Before assembling, cover those pieces with Titanium White Pan Pastel and fix with spray (hairspray works perfectly)
Glue together ONLY on the sides and bottom, leave the middle without any glue, this is where your photo will slide in!
Step 4 (final step): it is now time to assemble the photo holder, take both pieces, glue as per below photo (stick photo slider right in the middle of other half border):You can slide a 4''x6''photo if you want, it fits perfectly, all you have left to do is a little decoration!
You can actually make 2 photo holders, because you have enough leftover for another one! Or you could make 1 out of just one border, any other border really it just depends on how creative you want to be! Now I really hope you will give this a try! Thanks for staying to the end and happy scrapping!!! Oh and don't forget to leave me a comment for your chance to win some gorgeous chipboard!!!
