Hi all!
Ingrid here today with a shadow box and a card.
I also have a tutorial to create a great texture for the doors and panels on the shadow box.
Let me start with the shadow box.
Just love this Imaginarium chipboard piece!
It was so easy to put together and so much fun to embellish it!
Wanted to give this precious photo of my grandparents a special place.
Here are some details:
Found this cool bracelet at a local flea market.
This is the end result of the textured door.
Let me show you how I created this.
Super easy and so much fun!
This is what you need:
A small bowl
gesso
sand
brush
tooth pick
Let start to create!
Mix the sand with the gesso until you have a nice and firm substance.
Apply the mix with a brush on the door panels.
To give it an extra fun texture I used a tooth pic and made some circles in the paste.
Did the same with the inside background panel.
How much fun is this?!
After drying it's ready to be misted, painted and inked.
For the doors I mixed some kitchen salt with the gesso.
This will give the doors a much smoother effect than the panels.
This also gives a great effect and after drying it's ready to be colored.
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
Hope you are still awake after this long post! LOL!
But wait, there is more:
Still have to show you my second project for this month.
A card with the same background technique as the doors (gesso and salt).
