Hello every one...
For today's post I altered a photo Album cover for a friend who wants to gift it to her daughter and Son in Law as a wedding gift...The colours she asked for are Blue, White and Gray/Silver, and I added some yellowy Gold for some contrast.
I added some mixed media and quite some texture to the album. I glued some Lou's Heart Shapes down before I covered it all with Gesso and layers of Lindy's Stampgang Mists.
I adore how I was able to manipulate the Window with Shutters to fit the spine of the album as well.
On the back cover of the album I used a Lattice Door with, as the front window, a piece of FabScraps paper stuck to it. The embellishments are from Prima.
The treatment of my chippies are as follows...I embossed them with two layers of white UTEE, and while the UTEE was still warm, I stamped it with a stamp inked with brown ink. I then misted it with the following inks from Lindy's...Blue Hawaiian Blue, Whale Watch Blue and Azure Sea Asters. I kept drying with a heat gun, moving the inks around until they settled in and around the nooks left by the stamping.
Apart from the blue's, I also used Grab a Guy Gold and Glory of the Seas Gold on the page.

This is what the window looks like after being embossed and stamped...

I used the following Imaginarium Design Chipboard pieces...

Hope you enjoyed this project and are encouraged to try this technique yourself...Please feel free to leave a message as I love reading them and it might give you a chance to win yourself a price pack of chippies...
Till next time, keep well.
