Bright and Beautiful Layouts to Share

What a treat I have for you today. Three of our design team ladies have sent some amazing layouts to share with you all. It is always lovely to look at layouts done by different people and see what you can do if you let your imagination run away with you. 

  First is an amazing layout from Solange. Just look at the background of this layout. Layers and layers of paper, inks, paints, glimmer mists, stamps and more, and that's before you even start!

I love the way Solange has made her background part of her photo, so clever! You really need to see a layout like this in your hand so you can see all the detail. Photos don't really do justic to the layout.

Solange has shared some of the procces of making her layout with us.

"First, I glued down the chipboards on the paper and I applied Acrylic Gesso over them. After I used acrylic paint and glimmer mist around them and applied more one layer of gesso over them".

I love the finish she has on her chipboard, and this is because she has glued them down and layered over the top of them. It makes them part of the page rather than looking like they have been glued on afterwards.

 The next layout is from Julianne. She has done a delightful page with lots of layering. Just look at all the bits and pieces she has placed on her page. I love the way she places eveything but still has the photo as the focus.

She has included some techniques so you can have a go at doing her layout.

Techniques Used: Both the mirrored bracket and mini oval frame were coated with a Krylon gold leaf pen. Once dry, I added a paper background, and adhered it to my page with Helmar Liquid Scrapdots. Kaisercraft Sparklets and Blossoms were added for further detail and decoration.

 The "YOU&ME" phrase was coated with Ingvilde Bolme/Prima ink. I then sprayed it with Helmar Vellum spray, and quickly sprinkled Doodlebug glitter over the top before the spray could dry. I then simply tapped off the excess glitter, and adhered the phrase to my layout.

Other products used: Crate papers; Hambly transparencies; Hambly rub-ons; Hambly Washi Tape; Kaisercraft rhinestones; Kaisercraft Blossoms; Kaisercraft Sparklets; Teresa Collins transparency; Heidi Swapp flourish sticker.

To finish todays post, I have a  lovely layout from Lady Grace. Don't you love the way she has placed her embelisments around her photo to create a frame.                     

 Here is what Lady Grace had to say about her layout.
"I love the raw finishing of the chipboards so for my second layout, I highlighted the Imaginarium Designs chipboards by uing the as is." And she is so right, it does look lovely using it raw and really suits her layout.

"I just needed the word happiness from this phrase so I cutout the “wishing you”part and saved it for later use." Don't you love the photo! She really does look happy.
