Something For the Girls and Boys

Hi, Karen here.  Today I'm sharing a couple of completely different projects.  One for the girls and one for the boys.

For The Boys

For this layout I altered the chipboard pieces by first painting the pieces with white gesso.  I then used some Shimmerz Paint "Enamelz" Molten Metal.  After drying I then applied some Adirondack Embossing Powder "Espresso" and dried that with my heating tool.  I then applied some glue in random spots and used some Stampa Rosa "Detail Copper" embossing powder.  After that I used some Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink "Stream" around the edges.

For The Girls

For my 2nd project I did a layout using the delicate birdcages.  To alter them I first painted with white gesso.  I then used some Tim Holtz Distress Stain "Tarnished Brass" and let that dry.  Then I used some crackle medium and after that had dried I used some Stickles "Pink" and "Lime Green".
