Candy's Turn to Share

Before I share Candy's project with you today, I would just like to let you know that both Tomoko and Asuka and familys are Ok. For those who don't know Japan suffered a 8.9 earthquake today. As both of the Ladies are from Japan we were worried that they may have been affected. Tomoko contacted us today to inform us they were both Ok. A great relief to hear.
Our thoughts go out to all those affected and their families by this disaster.
Candy posted this amazing canvas on Graphic 45's blog and I would like to share it with you all.

"I have several canvases laying around with the intent to do something with them. Often when I am in my room creating they haunt me... they poke at me and say, "hey could you pay some attention to me over here? alas, another day goes by and they are left empty...

Until one day a few months ago, when I was working on my Graphic 45 CHA album from the July 2010 show and had a stack of incredible die cuts from Imaginarium Designs and it came to me!!! I ran to the canvas corner of my room and grabbed the biggest one I had. I began to pile items on my desk to play with: vintage fabric,m gesso, brushes, glimmer glaze, spellbinders machine, some new nestablilities, leftover Teresa Collins holiday paper, awsome and real gears from Stanislaus Imports, a little Tim Holtz love and of course Graphic 45 paper, after all it was the debut of Steampunk Debutante at the show...and you put it all in the creative blender and this is what you get!"

Candy is a master of mixed media.and her work is always very creative showing the special flair and talent she has for this art form. I love the creative way she has used Imagainarium Design chipboard on her work. Would love to have been their to watch Candy making it, it must have been a messy process, but the final result is amazing. I Know the photo's don't do it justice. Candy has posted a tutorial on her blog showing step by step how to make an altered art tag. Make sure you visit and check it out.

Thanks for stopping by

Jane
