A Little Bit Shabby & A Little Bit Grungy

Hello from the Redwoods!!  Karen here with a couple of projects to share with you.  The first project I did is a little shabby chic style.  I love this photo of my friend's little sweetie and thought the Cross Hatch Heart with Lou's Hearts would be perfect for this photo and the papers I chose for this layout.

Chipboard Used:

Cross Hatch with Center Heart

To alter the chipboard I gessoed them and then painted them with Folk Art "Wicker White" paint.  After that had dried I stamped them all with a script stamp using Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Black Soot", and then dabbed some Tim Holtz Tattered Rose here and there on the pieces.

Other Products Used:  Prima's Rondelle Paper Collection, Tim Holtz Vagabond with Flowers die cut, Prima stick pins, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain, and Donna Salazar's White Jasmine, Cottage Cuts Leave die cut.

For my second project I went a little bit grungy.  This is a photo of my Grandsons while on a walk in the Redwoods last week-end, they're "holding" up the big tree.

To alter the chipboard I first gessoed the pieces and then inked them with Tim Holtz Fired Brick and dabbed some Tim Holtz Soot Black to give them an aged look.

Chipboard Used:
