two canvases

Hello everyone!

Ingrid here today with two canvases I created for my sweet hubby.

For the first reversed canvas (8x8") I wanted to go for a girly as well as a masculine look.
I started to glue down some teared up paper from the Prima, Engraver collection.
I wanted to highlight the tearing by adding a mix of gesso and sand.
Did the same for the background of the canvas.
Added two more mini canvases (2,5x2,5").
One under the photo and one in the corner for extra dimension.
Gave it a girly corner with flowers and bling and
a more masculine one with cogs and metal.
All the chipboard were given a basic coat of gesso and then inked.
A few cogs and the "You and me" got an extra layer of Glimmer Glaze.

Cut the oval frame for the corner.

The big heart is from wood and was found at a local home decor store.
Again painted with gesso and inked.
Seriously can't make a project without gesso! LOL!

And my second project, a mini canvas (6x6") for a great guy!
I wanted to highlight his love for music.
He plays the guitar as well as piano/keyboard.
The guitar image was found on the internet.
The background was also painted with a mix of gesso and sand.
