With winter digging it's heels into sunny South Africa, I have a Spring coloured canvas and a Trinket Box decorated with Imaginarium Designs chipboard to share with you...
I always have a lot of bits and pieces from previous projects that I don't want to throw away just yet, lying around. I also had a very nice and sturdy box hidden in my cupboard, after some dressing up, I now have a nice and sturdy box to keep my bits and pieces in...!
I played around with some Stamping, inking and lots of spraying on the box and the chipboard pieces...
This is the top of the box.
On the front I used a piece of Circle border with a label pull, seeing the close up like this, it seems like a grumpy looking fellow, don't you think? The border was just embossed with some
Stampendous Aged Taupe Enamel.
The Honeycomb negative I treated with gold acrylic paint and Brown,Red and Black inks.
I loved using these Branch and Leaves together with my flower sprig...I first painted some gesso on them and after some ink I used my heat gun, resulting in the gesso to bubble and add texture...
For the box I used the following Imaginarium Design Products...
Honeycomb: IDS 0054
Branch and Leaves: IDDN 0014
Circle Border: IDB 007
With Mothers day coming up next week, I made this canvas for my mother...I am still learning with Mixed Media and will one day reach the point of doing many great layers...I loved the Cross Hatch with centre Heart and think it is perfect to show my love for my mother.
The heart was also gesso'd, and painted with ink. I then embossed it with clear UTEE.
The hexagon's from the honeycomb were also gesso'd, inked and stamped with a script stamp and embossed with Lindys Stampgang 'Jade' embossing powder.
I inked and embossed the Silver Fern Leaf with Lindys Orbit olive Gold embossing powders,
cut it and tucked the leaves with some flowers...
These are the chipboard pieces I used...
Honeycomb: IDS 0054
Silver Fern Leaf: IDFL 0015
Cross Hatch with centre Heart: IDDL 0009
