Altered Art Projects from our Design Team

Today I am sharing some Altered Art Projects for you. These are pieces that will hang on a wall or stand on an easle. I love this style of scrapbooking and the three pieces I have to share today are just beautiful. Each one is different from the other ones, but each one is very special.
First up is one from Adriana. She has called hers Home Sweet Home.

Here is what Adriana had to say about her project

" When I received this “Emma Frame” IDTFR0012, it reminded of my days when I did quilting and stitching. With the small rectangles and squares with the gorgeous flourish on top and inside the frames. I decided to make a mini quilt hanging piece, and have called this project,  “Home Sweet Home”.

First I painted the Emma frame with brown paint, then embossed ink all over the frame, sprinkled Vintage photo distress embossing powder by Tim Holtz. Heated the frame with my heating gun. The finished effect is like a soft suede mat look with a vintage distress look.

Then I cut a piece of chipboard slightly bigger than the frame covered with it paper, inked the edges then added lace & ribbon on bottom.  I then cut out pieces of paper, placed on the underside on each opening. Inked the Letters, flourishes and tinies. Arranged embellishments. Attached clips to hold the frame on top, tied with beautiful seam binding. Then attached the finished frame on to the covered chipboard square.

Next up is Karen
Again she has created a wall hanger and in true Karen style it is full of detail with lots of little bits and pieces. You could spend a hour looking at this and still see more and more.

Karen has used Tim Holtz configurations boxes to make this piece of art.

This photo shows the inking and stamping Karen has added to the chipboard flourish.

Karen has used BoBunny papers, and cut and punched lots of butterflies. Karen has inked her chipboard then stamped over the top for a beautiful effect.

Each little compartment is a complete work of art.  You can tell this project has taken quite a lot of time. So much attention to detail and beautifully done. Karen is quite the master at this form of scrapbooking.
