For this project I first gessoed the chipboard pieces down to the canvas along with all the other elements and then applied a layer of Mod Modge. After that dried I applied gesso again to all the elements and chipboard on the canvas. I then misted the whole canvas with several Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Mists (listed below).
