A Valentine's Day Mixed Media Layout and A Little Rola Chang Art

Hi Everyone,   Karen here with a couple of projects to share with you today.

For my 1st project I decided to do a Valentine's Day Mixed Media layout.  This is a photo of my dear friend's daughter on a vintage photo shoot..so fun.  To alter the chipboard I inked them all with some Prima Chalks and after they dried I applied some new Shimmerz Paints - Texturez "Brick Wall" for some dimension.  I also dabbed the flowers with a bit of the Texturez "Brick Wall".

Imaginarium Designs Chipboard Used:
Chris' Small Arrows (IDDC0001)

My Favorite Photo Frame (IDW0068)

Other Materials I Used:
Prima "Almanac" Paper Collection
Prima - Ingvild Bolme Chalks - "Fall Leave" and "Vintage Pink"
Prima - Sunrise Sunset Collection - Vintage Trinkets (Metal)
I Am Roses Small Roses
Tim Holtz Stamp Set
Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Vintage Photo & Walnut Stain
Ranger Archival Ink - Black
Memories Ink - Soft Rose
Shimmerz - Texturez - Brick Wall and Sandy Stone
Cottage Cuts - Leafy Foliage

For my second project I decided to use a photo of the Artist Rola Chang..her work is amazing and I thought that the Cross Hatch chipboard would go perfectly with the photo of her watercolor painting and G45's "Bird Song" papers.  To alter the chipboard I painted the pieace with Lumiere "Metallic Rust" and "Citrine" and after that dried I dabbed some Black Archival Ink here and there on the piece and then cut it in half to arrange around the photo.
